Shock and Awe Takes Precedent Over Credibility 2 The airspace around the United States Capitol is protected airspace. No one is to fly into that zone without prior knowledge or written consent. Flying into that space without the required authorization carries the looming threat of being shot down without asking any questions. Despite knowing this, a sixty-one year old postman named Douglas Hughes flew his one-manned gyrocopter into that protected airspace and landed on the West lawn of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C on April 15, 2015. Mr. Hughes’s reasoning for attempting this flight was to bring attention to the issue of campaign finance. After the landing, he was subsequently arrested and charged under Title 49 of United States code and by the United States Capitol police.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
