Stefan Page Group 1- Monty Python’s Spamalot Theatre 1313 Designers One of the hardest jobs to do is to create not only a set, but creative, entertaining costumes that are complementary to the set and its surroundings. Tim Hatley is the man that successfully completed this task in Monty Python’s Spamalot. Tim Hatley graduated from Central Saint Martins School of Art in London, England. He has also worked on many plays including, Private Lives, Vincent in Brixton, The Crucible, and Stanley. He was also the production designer in the film Closer and the costume designer in the film Stage Beauty. The role of the lighting designer in theatre is to work closely with the director, set designer, costume designer, and choreographer. He comes together with his college to create an overall look and feel for the show. He also has to take in account issues involving safety, and visibility while staying on a budget.
