After reading Ann Lamott's "Shitty First Drafts", I feel as though she cleared a few things up for me. I always just assumed that great writers had the ability to sit down and miraculously write pages upon pages of spectacular work. We all have the chance to be great writers basically, we just need to calm down the “voices”, or other thoughts in our head before we sit down and write. Our firsts drafts are supposed to be crappy, and full of all the emotions that we want to write. Her article was good, and written well....
