How Do You Love? By Nathan Sullivan How do we love a person? This is a question that has been asked as long as mankind has been able to describe their feelings. This idea of love has been thrown around for thousands of years, yet we still know little what that word really means or what we should do and how we should act when we do feel it. Humans have looked everywhere to try and find a way to talk about love and to give it a solid form. In Paul’s letter to the early church, he lays out guidelines for the people to follow. He states in this letter all of the things that the people should hold with them and what they are doing wrong. He speaks with wisdom and a true pure heart on the subject of love in fact; to this day people still hold his points very highly. We still try so hard to reach these goals, and we still fall so short of these simple rules that were given hundreds of years ago. “Love is patient; love is kind, love is not proud, love does not boast.” These should be things that a person could follow easily, however, we as humans can’t seem to do anything easily. One book that proves how hard it is for humans to follow these things is
