Billy Eliot By Nathan Sullivan This movie was an odd movie to say the least. At every turn there is something that goes against the common train of thought. It goes to show that things aren’t always what you would expect them to be. It also goes to show you that a persons mind can be changed for a person they love. Billy is the son of a coal miner on strike, who was a boxer like his dad before him. However Billy is no good at boxing and he would rather be a ballet dancer. Needless to say this raises more then a few problems in the Eliot house hold. However once his dad sees what Billy can do he is more then behind his son in what he does. This movie is really about how a kid followed what he really wanted to do.

This is a key aspect of the film that people come together to help one another. Even if what Billy did went against the things that were so common and what so many of us consider normal, he got the support of his friends and family. If that is the only thing that a person can get when they are going after something then they already have a lot going for them. I have neither give nor received nor tolerated the use of unauthorized aid....
