MLK Day By Nathan Sullivan The day that celebrates the life and work of Martian Luther King Jr. is one of remorse, hope, and faith in the human sprit. This powerful day is one that should never be overlooked by anyone of any age or race. In all of the schools that I have gone to I must say that Valparaiso has by far done the best out of any of them to honor this great man. There where a number of things that were held in his honor however I was only able to attend a few of them. The first thing to start the campus’s day was the convocation that was held in the chapel. There was a speaker that came and talked to all of the students of how we all should do all that is in our power to change the world around us, however she never gave any steps on what we could do to change the things around us. The speaker talked about things that varied from the war in Iraq to the AIDS crisis. Her speaking felt like she wanted to have things changed but that she had no idea what to do to have these things
