Depending on the topic, lectures will consist of a combination of PowerPoint, class discussions,and in-class group work that will help you gain a basic understanding of major biological topicsand concepts.NOTE: I encourage participation in class. I want you to feel free to respond to the questions Iask in class and be comfortable asking questions of your own. It’s more fun for everyone if youparticipate!Evaluation MethodsThree (non-cumulative) exams will be given throughout the semester during lab time and oneFinal Exam (cumulative) during finals week. Class assignments and quizzes will be assessed asnecessary.The University of North Georgia requires students attend class. I do not take attendance everyday in lecture. HOWEVER, pop quizzes and in-class assignments will be given throughout thesemester at unannounced times and cannot be made upfor any unexcused reason.
