dThe US is leading the charge on the War on Terrorism now It’s shifted to focus on the terrorism in the world You can clearly see this change in the NATO/Afghan Campaignwar Everybody thinks it’s a US war, but it’s a NATO war 9/11 started this war It looks like a US war: US provides most of the fighting power, money, military hardware But there’s other NATO members there It’s a NATO campaign This is a never ending mission: The War on Terrorism Thus NATO has a reason to exist forever 2) Increasing voice of Russia > Russia has been invited into the meetings NATO meets with Russia at yearly conference It’s in NATO’s/US’s best intention to make Russia with good terms so they don’t start WW3 Russia has a lot in common with team west Russia could potentially join NATO Russia will continue to be consulted and active missions with the Afghan mission and others It’s in there interest to help Look for Russia to help with NATO operations and possibly other future NATO missions
