Stress ActivityStress is when you feel overwhelmed about the demands of life, and you are unable tocope with the pressure of it. It is something that everyone in the world encounters on a daily,weekly, monthly, or yearly basis that can stem from your occupation, school, finances, family,etc.Everyone will experience challenging events or circumstances in their life at some point andtime known as a stressor (Sarafino & Smith, 2017).Stressors have a major influence on a person’s mood, sense of well-being, behavior, andhealth (Schneiderman, 2005). Covid-19 has brought a huge challenge to our world, and I know itis the number one stressor that we face daily. The fear of contracting the virus or maybe losing aloved one to it is a daily thought.The first stress screening I did was from the website.The purpose of this test is to measure your levels of stress ranging from mild to high. My scorewas acute stress and if not treated it can turn into chronic stress. An acute stress reaction occurswhen symptoms develop due to a particularly stressful event. The word 'acute' means thesymptoms develop quickly but do not usually last long. The events are usually very severe, andan acute stress reaction typically occurs after an unexpected life crisis. I think this arose from myprevious job, my supervisor would not treat me the best, he would constantly talk down at me,and tell me that I am not doing my job. He treated me very differently from the rest of theemployees. I was outcasted numerous times, and I think this is part of the reason why Iexperience acute stress.
