Future innovation opportunities
 Magna International (Global Automotive Part Supplier) has assembled a Technology Advisory
Council in order to contribute to future innovation projects, to provide directions and roadmaps.
 Magna is switching/ focusing on Future Mobility. It can be achieved by:
a) Autonomy : Autonomous Vehicles will not only change just the mobility, but they will change
the whole world. The company is concentrating on advanced driver assist features and has well
positioned uniquely to meet the needs of autonomous future.
b) Electrification : In next few years there will be more than 40 different powertrain architectures
in the market. Their expertise would enable them to design and build the majority of them –
making the industry greener.
c) Light weighting : (Less mass, less fuel and reduced CO2 emissions); Knowledge of materials
and joining processes enable to design that are optimized for mass, without compromising the
structural integrity or performance.
