Matthew Foster Psyc -13589 1) The experimental group is exposed to the independent variable and then the dependent variable is measured. The control group isn’t exposed to the independent variable, but the dependent variable I still measured at the end. The purpose of the control group is to serve as comparison. 2) All experiments are exposed to two main variables. The independent variable is the variable that is being manipulated in hopes of changing the dependant variable. The dependent variable is the variable that is being measured of tested during the experiment. 3) Dendrites are branchlike extensions at the end of a neuron that receive signals from other neurons. The cell body is the part of the neuron that has the nucleus and carries out basic cell functions. The axon is the long slender part of the neuron that helps transmit signals from the dendrites to the axon terminal. The axon terminal is where the neuron releases neurotransmitters across the synaptic gap to other neurons. 4) The brain has 4 main lobes. The frontal lobe is responsible for movement, speech and
