Question #1: How would you handle the firing of the two sales people in the West Coast
Office?
Question #2: How would you handle the promotion of Kelly Liscombe to department
head?

very pleased with the work she has been doing and I am looking forward to seeing all of the
good work she will do in the future. Before she leaves the office, I will instruct her to keep it to
herself until I notify everyone else in the workplace, because I do not want any problems
occurring that may impact job satisfaction. After that, I will call in the three employees one by
one and tell them that while they have been great and valued employees, I had given the
promotion to Kelly. I will tell them to keep up the hard work because they are very important
employees to me, and if there are any promotions needed in the future they will be my first
candidates. After each candidate has been notified, my public announcement will be my last
