Face Coverings in Class and LabAs stated in RCC's Student Code of Conduct, all students are considered responsible adults andare expected to conduct themselves in accordance with generally accepted standards ofbehavior that are pertinent to providing all members of the College community with a safeenvironment that demonstrates respect for other persons, respect for property, and thatcontributes to a positive learning environment; and, any behavior deemed by College officials tobe a violation of accepted standards or decency or safety, or which threatens the campusworking or learning environment, or which are prohibited by local, state, or federal law.In recognition of this responsibility, and in response to the best available science, every studentmust wear an appropriate face mask/covering that covers their nose and mouth while in theclassroom and all other indoor public spaces. This mandate is subject to change as conditionsevolve and guidance from the relevant governmental and public health organizations is revised.Students who are not properly wearing a face covering will be asked to leave the classroom;they may return when they follow this basic public health recommendation. Faculty are notresponsible for providing any make-up instruction or activities beyond what is already beingoffered to the class. Refusal to leave will result in a student conduct violation and campussecurity will be notified.A number of disposable masks are available across campus.
