Thesis Over the past 30-40 years, the possibility of even middle class status has begun to escape Americans. This is due to many different explanations including, diminishing union participation, lack of universal health care, changing tax laws, the necessity of a college education for skilled occupations, dual worker households, and changes in modern norms and institutions. The American, “Middle Class” golden child is becoming nothing more than a dream, and without government assistance will result in the massive inequality we experienced before the great depression.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
