For example, the Camel ad being titled “Where A Man Belongs” whereit shows a “rugged” male on the cover smoking a cigarette with a lantern. This wasclearly being directed at men who feel that smoking makes them more masculine.Another example being the “Colgate – Sink Child” ad. This ad is clearly trying to raiseawareness for how much us Americas waste water and tries to turn our perspectives topeople in struggling third-world countries who fight to stay alive with limited resources,such as water, every day. The nature of these ads, which happens to be what they allhave in common, is that they are targeting a specific audience and trying to raise
