Results: Our results seemed to be fairly accurate throughout the experiment. The goal of this experiment to determine the rate law, activation energy, and the frequency factor for the reaction between peroxodisulfate ion and iodide ion, and to determine the effect of copper (II) nitrate on the specific rate constant, was achieved. Human error obviously altered this experiment and caused errors throughout. Benjamin Smith: Throughout the lab we tried to allow everybody to attempt a part of the experiment. During the first phase, the two ladies in the group did the mixing of the chemicals while Shahab and I started working on the calculations that could be started. When the ladies finished creating the two solutions that were to be mixed, Shahab would time the reaction while I mixed. The
