First and foremost, we would like to express most gratitude to Allah S.W.T as we managed to
complete our assignment successfully by His guidance and blessings. We also would like to
express my thankfulness to University Technology Mara (UITM) Campus Puncak Perdana,
Selangor for allowing us to conduct this individual assignment.
The completion of this assignment gives us so much pleasure. A special gratitude we give to our
lecturer Miss Norzuraiza Rina Binti Ahmad, Foundation of Information and Communications
Technology for giving us great support and guidance for the whole semester of our project. Your
patience in giving guidance to us will never be forgotten. Her timely and scientific approach has
helped us to a very great extent to accomplish this task.
Moreover, we deepest gratitude to our family who tried their best to give their best support by
giving us a lot of encouragement and providing the financing for us to pay all the costs required
from the beginning until the end of our assignment.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
The growth of the digital economy has altered the function and operations of governmental
institutions. While governments continue to provide traditional tasks such as defences, law and
order, justice, taxes, legislation, regulation, education, health care, and social equality, they are
now needed to take on new roles such as leveraging the power of information technology and
driving change. The government's role in ICT has shifted from that of a buyer or provider to that
of a facilitator and leader.
Through horizontal and vertical contacts and information flows, ICT has played an important
role in transforming the way the government functions. It has presented governments with
unique chances for new methods of doing business through e-Government and e-Governance
apps. e-Government is about driving the transformation of government to give residents and
companies efficient, convenient, and transparent services via the use of Information and
Communication Technologies (ICT). e-Government is not about the letter 'e,' but about the letter
'government,' and it is not about computers and websites, but rather about services to citizens and
businesses. Similarly, e-Government is not about translating procedures; rather, it is about
reforming them. Through technology, e-Government is concerned with the transformation of
government, the modernization of government procedures and operations, and the improvement
of public service delivery mechanisms.
