The videos all seen to be related. Growing Old in a New Age: Work, Retirement, & Economic Status: The new age is that life expectancy is growing; the aged desires to remain productive regardless of retirement status and social class will play a large part on the degree of retirement. I was surprised at the statistic that within four years of retirement, that a retired person will go back to work in some capacity, varying in hours and pay, including unpaid. Unfortunately, the retirement system was primarily set up benefiting the White male, leaving those of color and women, lacking pensions and healthcare to even conceive retirement. Even with the passages of laws against age discrimination, older people are finding it as evasive as ever to be hired after 50, with such code word as ‘over qualified.’ The two examples by Travelers and Day’s Inn regarding older adults and their abilities, demonstrates that older employees make a solid, positive, and ‘bottom line’ difference to a business.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
