INTEGRATED PROJECT DELIVERY 2 Introduction Integrated Project Delivery is an approach to better project delivery that incorporates the structures, man power and the available systems in ensuring that there is full exploitation of the talents so as to standardize efficiency throughout the stages of design, framing and construction (Kent & Becerik, 2010). This paper explains the principles of IPD, its benefits and its disadvantages. IPD works under several principles. The first principle is the principal of mutual respect and benefit. In a big project, the different stakeholders must be united by the sole objective of making the project a success (Lahdenpera, 2012).
