One fateful, “lucky” day the old man got abite. Santiago stuck with this fish for three days, eating rawfish and cutting himself all the while. After many long tryingdays he eventually speared the fish. Unfortunately, this wasnot the end of the adventure. Santiago had to make it homewith the __ pound fish tied to the side of the boat. Not tomention he was in the middle of the ocean, with sharks onthe way. As he sailed sharks continuously attacked and tookbites of the fish with them. The old man could not fight all ofthem off and lost the meat to the sharks. When he arrived atthe docks all that was in tact was the ____ fish's skeleton.
