“"BOOM! Head shot! That guy was destroyed!" These are just some examples of the
dialogue spoken between children who play video games
with utmost violence. In today's age, kids often brag about
the number of people they managed to kill while playing
these games”(Vogler, n.d). Currently, the effect of violent
video games in our kid’s behavior is quite clear. A long hour
of playing video games does create a direct impact on our
kid’s behavior. According to Carey. B a NY times journalist, "The young men who opened fire at
Columbine High School, at the movie theatre in Aurora, Colorado, and in other massacres had
this in common: they were video gamers who seemed to be acting out some dark digital fantasy”
(2013, p D1). It is confirmed by a lab experiment that playing games like “ Call of Duty,” Kill
zone 3” or “Battlefield 3” really entice the kid gamers to aggression (Carey, 2013). They start to
think like killing your enemies is the utmost victory in real life as well. So it is apparent that
violent video games are really playing a bad impact in our children’s behavior, which needs
serious attention on it.
History of Video Games
According to encyclopedia, if we start talk about video game history we have to go
back to 1950, when academics began designing simple games and start simulating as part of their
computer science research. Video gaming would not get this much popularity until it was 1970s
and 1980s, when arcade video games, gaming consoles and home computer games were

introduced to the general public. Since then, video gaming has become a popular form of
entertainment and a part of modern culture in most parts of the world. As of 2015, there are eight
generations of video game consoles. The very latest generation inclusion is Nintendo's Wii U,
Microsoft's Xbox 3, and Sony's PlayStation 4. PC gaming has been holding a large market share
in Asia and Europe for decades and continues to climb up. Mobile gaming has been given a new
level of popularity with release of smartphones, an easy way for gaming company’s to reach out
to people even to them either who were not interested in gaming before. So that proves the huge
increasing popularity of video games.(History of video games, 2013, para 1)
Current States of Violence Video Game
With the increasing popularity of video games and with the development done to
video games software is dragging people into playing video games. Now a days ten out of 9
houses has a play station and everyday you might going to hear the rumbling sound big machine
gun taking down the enemies. Almost every people sped some of their time from their daily
