ELIMINATING WORDINESS An obvious obstacle to clear communication is wordiness. This occurs when two or more words are used in the place of one or when unnecessary words are added to a sentence. Eliminate unneeded words that clutter sentences. TO AVOID WORDINESS, ELIMINATE CLICHES, REDUNDANCY AND UNNECESSARY REPETITION FROM YOUR WRITING. Wordy Expressions Revision 1.
