At some point in our lives all Americans have either walked or driven by a homeless individual on the street without stopping. More often than not we will engage in some type of activity to give the appearance of not noticing the individual on purpose. Is it because as a society we choose to simply ignore the problem or does ignoring the suffering and struggles of another individual give us an uneasy and uncomfortable feeling in our stomach?
