He excelled in four fields of anthropology: cultural, physical, linguistic, andarcheology. His idia was to unite his four fields of anthropology to create a single idea ofthem.The work carried out by the archaeologist was almost superficial. his contribution to thestudy of cultural anthropology revolved around the critique of evolution. His veryhistorical particularity, his strict insistence on the "native point of view" werefundamental to the development of modern anthropology.
