Cranmer named Archbishop of Canterbury Parliament House of Lords House of Commons Henry offers then a partnership in government and some of the churches land 1534 passes the act of supremacy – parliament appoints Henry and successors head and supreme head of the church of England Every Nobleman had to take an oath of Supremacy. Thomas Moore didn’t take oath and was killed, wrote Utopia Heresy Act – anyone who didn’t declare the pope a heretic was killed Henry gets to decide which priests are appointed were Succession Act – all nobleman had to swear that Henry’s marriage to Catherine was null and void and his marriage to Anne was valid Henry had Anne beheaded and married Jane Seymour 10 days later she gives birth to a boy (Edward) in 1537 Jane dies in childbirth Henry marries Anne of Cleves hated each other declared a divorce Henry married Catherine Howard kills her pretty quickly
