Lab 1A: The MCC Intranet1LAB 1A: THE MCC INTRANET Guided LabINTRODUCTION  According to the 11th edition of the Barron’s Dictionary of Computer and Internet Terms, the term intranet(not Internet) is a term that is used to describe, “a network confined to a single organization (but not necessarily a single website). Intranets often include web pages, so a web browser can be used to viewthe content. This makes the intranet appear to just the same as part of the World Wide Web; the only difference is that it is not accessible to those outside the organization.”OVERVIEW  Your job is to go on a “virtual” scavenger hunt to “find” the identified pages within the MCC intranet. (Hint: You should have seen many of these pages during a virtual tour earlier this quarter. Go back to thestart if you get confused). The tasks below will direct you how to find the correct web page. Once you’vefound the correct web page, take a screenshot, which captures the single browser window only(in otherwords, it should be a partial screenshot and you should nothave the Start menu visible in Windows, or the menu bar visible on the Macintosh). At times it may be easier to use the snipping tool (typically foundon the Start Menu in Windows) to capture just the information you want. If you are not familiar with how to take a screen shot or use the screen snipping tools; there are descriptions available within the learning materials. The snipping tool is not necessarily available on all versions of operating tools and the technique for taking a screen shot can vary so be sure you know how to do this before you start the lab.
