Morgellons disease is a skin disorder described by sores, a sensation if crawling under and on the skin, and fiber-like threads evolving from the sores. The symptoms of Morgellons disease are skin rashes or sores that can cause extreme itching, crawling sensations on or under the skin, usually compared to insects moving, stinging or biting. Also fibers, threads or black stringy material in and on the skin, severe fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and short term memory loss. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) says this disease are very alike to those of a mental illness involving false beliefs about infestation by parasites, also called delusional parasitosis. There are three different views about this disease in the medical field for patients’ suffering from this disease. Some of the professionals think that Morgellons disease is a specific condition that needs to be confirmed by research.
