Information Literacy in My life
Information literacy is very essential in the world, especially for students of all ages. It
encourages our problem solving and thinking skills. It is how we find our information, evaluate
sources and their credibility, form our own opinions and much more. In the Nimble Wise video
“Life in the Information Age” it states, “It is important not only for your individual success, but
as a contribution to the success of our society as a whole.” Developing information literacy skills
is not only important in our everyday life, but it plays a much bigger role in the world we live it.
You’re hungry, so you open your phone and search for some food places near you. Before
you go somewhere new, you have to take a look at their reviews, see what other people are say-
ing. Your refrigerator is on it last leg, before going to the store and buying one you research some
online. You look at reviews, prices, the specifications, availability and more. These are just two
