INTRODUCTION This study answers the question that many men ask themselves daily. “What do women want?” Kruger and Fisher were interested in seeing if women would be more attracted to men based on descriptions of hero-type characters. The study included descriptions of two types of heroes, the dark “Gotham” hero, and the “proper” hero who isn’t much of a hero at all as he is often distinguished by their reservations and a withdrawn personality. The study aimed to prove that women preferred the dark hero’s for short sex based relationships and the proper hero for long-term commitments and marriage.
