Objective : Students will classify functions and their properties and use them to solve problems. Function Definition In Algebra 2 we used the phrase " is a function of " to speak of functions in a general sense. In Algebra 1, we defined a function as a rule that assigned one and only one (a unique) output value for each input value. Recall from Algebras 1 & 2 that a relation is set of ordered pairs and that NOT all relations are functions. When determining whether or not a relation is a function, we can take a look at either the relation's ordered pairs or the relation's graph. Which of the three relations below is also a function? Vertical Line Test If any vertical line intersects a graph ______________________________, then that graph does NOT represent a function. 1.2 Algebra 2 Review -- Functions Chapter 1 Page 1

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
