Garrett Ozar Assignment 6 October 17, 2007 The article, “The Best Things in Life are Free” written by Seth Godin, sums up how to “champion new ideas.” He says that people claim that their products are boring, and that innovation is soft rather than hard, meaning you may be buying something other than for the reason you say you are buying it for. He also says that people claim that their boss will not let them innovate, however, he urges people to find a way. He then urges people to ask questions, innovate and design a prototype for their product, then make it aesthetically pleasing. This article seems like great advice for many people who are feeling like they are being held back in the innovating process. I like the fact that Godin urges people to take things into their own hands and to be aggressively assertive in innovating and completing their idea, even if their boss does not think they can do it, or they believe what they do is boring. This article also was interesting because it gave great insight on how people were
