Thank you. 1. Free Body Diagrams. Draw the free body diagrams for the three systems shown in the figure. You may assume that the structures are weightless and that all pulleys and pins are frictionless. Gravity acts in the downward vertical direction. (a) A beam fixed to a rigid wall at A. A cord wraps around pulleys at C and D . A weight, W hangs from the cord. The cord is attached to a wall at the left. Draw the FBD you would need to determine the reactions at A .
