Unformatted text preview: Garrett Ozar Assignment #1 9/5/2007 Professor Davidson Assignment #1 In the first article, Flip the Switch, Jennifer Alsever attempts to supply the reader with information that she deems necessary to think of a business idea and then how to put that idea into motion. Alsever provides examples of actual people that had an aha moment and summarizes how they acted on their idea to eventually creating a company that brings in millions of dollars per year in revenue. She specifically shows that each idea was came upon by attempting to solve a problem in their everyday life; essentially, to make their life easier. Each example provided includes their initial start-up fees ranging from a few thousand dollars to a few hundred thousand. Alsever includes these fees to show that not all products need an abundance of start-up costs in order to get going.
