Garrett Ozar September 26, 2007 HW Assignment #2 Case D-7 Professor Russell Case D-7 Calloway Golf: The Global Challenge 1. The pros of Calloway taking a global marketing approach are that they would save money on marketing and they would produce fewer designs of their clubs which would also save money on production. The cons of taking a global marketing approach are that different countries have different desires for clubs, different statures and physical strength, and have different economic downturns, making global marketing not as effective as multidomestic marketing. The pros of multidomestic marketing are that you can serve the demands of individual countries more efficiently because you are dividing your marketing among those different countries in order to meet their specific needs (like Japan not wanting to use high caliber products because they are not worthy and having a small stature which means they need a different size club). The cons of multidomestic marketing are that it is much more work and probably more costly to run
