INVENTORY MANAGEMENT 2 Inventory Management Steve Inventory management is the practice of planning and controlling the inventory of materials, where it is raw material or finished goods. These items tend to be the biggest assets for a lot companies, so balancing the ordering, storage, and shortage costs is important to maintain inventory's contribution to the company's' profitability. It is possible for a company to have too much inventory, in which they will incur additional storage costs and run the possibility of having the entire inventory surpassed by a newer product. On the other, having to little inventory and they might not be able to meet the customer's needs. Ideally, inventory management will help businesses to meet or exceed customers' expectations.
