John DeLisle Kenneth Wilson Megan G. SPED 226 11/29/2007 Teaching Unit: Weather At a young age, children learn about the weather. While growing in their education, they start to learn about the different seasons. When they reach the peak of their education they learn about seasonal trends and mathematical equations to convert different temperatures. Goals of the Unit Weather is always a factor in whatever you do. No matter who you are, or what you do weather affects you personally. The goals of this unit vary for different education levels. The unit will consist of learning different conversions, such as Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin. Students will learn of patterns and records. They will understand the different seasons and the types of weather. Climate regions will be discussed and the different climates associated with the areas. Students will also learn and understand seasonal trends, including the economic side of seasons. Student #1:
