John DeLisle CIMT 301 Lesson Plan 2 of 5 Check Writing Unit Grades 7 Time allotted: 43 minutes Background: The purpose of this lesson is for students to be introduced to writing a check. We have covered the information that checks contain and where that information is located. Today we will learn to write checks from a sample budget. Objectives: 1. When asked by the teacher, each learner will verbally indentify the information contained within a check. ( BTL.1.1.1, Cognitive) 2. When asked by the teacher, each learner will verbally identify the area in which the information contained on the check is located. (BTL.1.1.1,Cognitive) 3. When given a check and check information by the teacher, students will write a check with five of the seven parts correct. ( BTL.1.1.1, Psychomotor, Cognitive) 4. When given a sample budget by the teacher, students will verbally identify the important parts pertaining to writing a check. ( BTL.1.1.1, Cognitive) Materials: 1. Pen 2. Practice checkbook
