A major part of the study of labor law and collective bargaining is the unique vocabulary that has developed over the period of time; accordingly, define the following terms and concepts: a. Public Policy Public Policy is defined as a system of laws, regulatory measures, courses of action, and declared State’ objectives which are related to the health, morals, and well-being of the citizenry, it is promulgated by a governmental entity, or its representatives. In the interest of public policy, legislatures and courts seek to nullify any action, contract, or trust that goes counter to these objectives even if there is no statute that expressly declares it void. In short, Public policy tells us that there are certain things we ought to do for society, and in many instances, laws are created to ensure that public policy is followed.
