Lecture Notes: VIOLENCE EDUCATION Exposure to violence entertainment media tv, books, magazines, music, videos dramatizations of murder, rape, beatings streets/community fighting, mugging, killing home domestic disputes child abuse, neglect school bullying, fights at lunchtime, recess hitting, kicking, punching, pushing, shoving CDC (Centers for Disease Control) statistics: 8th graders at school 1:5 (20%) of 8th graders have been threatened with a weapon
