While some would argue that the drug usage is no higher than it was in past generations, there are some research and data that contradicts this ideology. A very high number of teens admit to using or having experimented with drugs, other than marijuana. Some people believe that this is because teen drug usage is viewed as a “rite of passage”. However, is it a “rite of passage” for teenagers to abuse prescription drugs and use hardcore drugs such as heroin and methamphetamine?
