Ourfreedom almost every day is taken for granted. So much has been fought and sacrificed for ourliberties and rights. There was a point when women did not have any freedoms and only becamehousewives their whole life. In 1884- 1917 women gained their rights as American citizens.Women stereotypes were created many years ago according to different sex. Women would takecare of children and household chores while men worked and fought in wars. This lifestyle and"normality" were carried on like this for many centuries, but finally, women had enough andprotested against the government for their rights. African Americans were not the only group toexperience hostile and deadly prejudice at the republic's beginning. Latinos, Asians, and NativeAmericans are examples of minority groups who have endured overt racism throughout ourcountry's history. Unfortunately, racial minorities were not the only ones who had to deal withprejudice. These organizations fought long and hard to get their civil and political rightsrecognized by the government and the American people, and many of these efforts are still
