The research question I am asking is if there is a higher concentration of carbon monoxide in areas withmore humans. The instrument that would be used is the Atmospheric Infrared Sounder on NASA's Aquasatellite. I will use the data from the satellite to see the levels of carbon monoxide in areas around theworld. Another data source that I would use is the Luminocity world population density map, which is amap of the world showing the global population density. Population density is a measure of thepopulation per unit per area. My theory is that areas with a higher population density would also have ahigher amount of carbon monoxide.According to the UCAR, “Carbon monoxide indirectly contributes to the buildup of some greenhousegases in the troposphere. It reacts with certain chemicals that would otherwise destroy methane andozone, thus helping to elevate the concentrations of methane and ozone.”(Carbon Monoxide | UCARCenter for Science Education, 2017)By answering my question, we would know if there is a
