Unformatted text preview: Jon Obial Prof. Goss Core 115-D 4/2/08 After Fidel: Prospects For Improving U.S.-Cuban Relations On Wednesday April 2, 2008, Senior Analyst Peter Kornbluh from the National Security Archives came to Valparaiso University to give a lecture on the political relationship between the United States and Cuban governments. I found this lecture to be very interesting and insightful, as Kornbluh provided the audience with personal experiences from his visits to Cuba and interactions with Cuban political leaders. The stories of his personal interactions with both Fidel Castro, and his newly appointed brother, Raul Castro, gave his listeners interesting insight into both men as leaders.
