Somatic Nervous System Composed of 2 types of nerves: - Afferents - carry sensory signals from the skin , skeletel muscles, joints, eyes, ears… INTO the CNS for data delivery INTO the CNS for data delivery ( A fferents A rrive”) - Efferents - carry motor signals for the CNS to skeletal muscles (voluntary muscles) ex. Lifting arm OUT of the CNS for target OUT of the CNS for target control control ( E fferents “ E mbark”)
