Appropriate teaching strategies are crucial in ensuring that both the learners and the
teacher meet their various goals and objectives, which in the case of the teacher is ensuring
that the intended lessons are passed on, comprehended, and applied by the learners whenever
needed. The previous two assessments built the foundation for the course design under
review which included ways and significance of attaining an optimal learning environment
and the creating of an effective teaching plan. Thus, the discussion under review presents a
report on the various teaching strategies intended to support teaching and learning in the
course. Part of the course highlights the significance of cultural diversity in the field of
nursing.
Description of the Learning Outcomes of a Course
Regardless of the profession, the learning outcome is a crucial element as it tells the
level of success of the training and the extent to which the various course goals and
objectives were met. This is an indication of the benefits the learners have gained upon the
completion of the course and in the process highlight, the various ideas associated with the
specific study the learner undertook in the course. Therefore, in the case of the course under
review, the various learning outcomes include; the development of the required intellectual
skills which allows the learner to use the information gained in creating, analyzing,
evaluating, and putting into practice the various skills. Another learning outcome is that at the
end of the course the learners must be able to comprehend and remember the different pieces
of information taught in the course. Most significantly is that at the end of the course, the
learning outcome is for the learners to be able to have gained the skills needed to work in
certain environments say have the skills needed in working as a caregiver in a diverse work
environment ( Kirkpatrick , 2018). In general, the course under review intends to educate
nurses on the various ways to manage to work in a surrounding that is made of individuals

from diverse backgrounds which could be patients or colleagues. Since healthcare facilities
involve individuals from diverse cultures, learning about cultural diversity is crucial to a
professional like a nurse as it grants them the knowledge and understanding to co-exist
despite the cultural differences and still provide the best form of care to patients.
