Running head: SHORT TITLE OF PAPER (50 CHARACTERS OR LESS)1Third Party Conflict Resolution PaperStudent NameMGT/445DateInstructor Name
2Conflict resolution is necessary to keep focus and sustain the positive process. Collection of all the facts should be done prior to attempted resolution. Communication to the parties in a private setting to get their perspective is the idea. Only give opinions afterwards. Unless all is understood one cannot move onto mediation. After making the decision, be resolute in the delivery. (Lewicki, Saunders, & Barry, 2010,) Help with disputes can come from third parties. The idea is to aid in the process. There could be laws that utilize third parties. Depending on the situation will depend on the involvement. When there is a standoff with no end in sight, then a third party may become involved (Lewicki, Saunders, & Barry, 2010,). Questions and uncertainty present third party opportunities. There may be several different tactics to use by the third party. Paying attention to the animosity and the amount of problems that morph into issues is part of the process. Focusing on areas of interest and understanding each other is another thought (Lewicki, Saunders, & Barry, 2010,). Misunderstood words can lead to difficult hurdles during the negotiation period. Forward progress can seem lost at many points. There can be strong feelings that require help from a third party. Intervention should be used only as a necessary method. All circumstances should be taken into consideration. Fast reaction and in coordinationwith the method is the idea (Lewicki, Saunders, & Barry, 2010,). Intervention could be a welcomed action between the two determined parties at odds in negotiation. There can be laws that prompt this. There could be standards that apply to the situation. Certain people have an interest in resolving. The alternate partner could come from several backgrounds (Lewicki, Saunders, & Barry, 2010,). Unless accurately utilized and backed
3by appropriate people the particular one is not wanted. Becoming the ones who are unwanted bymany is not the answer. The passion for people at odds can lead to a number of things gone wrong. The idea is to use common sense when dealing with particular matters that involve the topic that we never think strongly enough about (Lewicki, Saunders, & Barry, 2010,).
