Here are some examples of what’s to be expected when collecting data in the PAS.
Patient Administration and billing: Cash flow is managed and calculated through the handling of patient administration and billing.Patient registration and claims settlements are verified through documentation, coding and billing claims. Scheduling:Allows administrators to validate eligibility, books appointments and manage care history.Patient billing: Integrates administration and treatment data for the distribution of items billable to the proper payers. This application would be an appropriate fit for the e-health delivery system and it (EMR) records the health information of each patient as well as makes informed decisions for the patientand the organization as whole from the data that’s been collected. Telemedicine/Telehealth playsa vital role as patients are able to access and participated in their health care via mobile/ wireless devices. Interoperability and standardization is the key to the whole picture. If it was not for the implementation of software/hardware and technologies which allow data to flow between clinics and different disciplinary none of the e-health delivery system would be relevant.Clinical decision support systems Clinical decision support systems is an application that analyze data which in turns helps heath care providers make clinical decisions. It was adapted from the decision support system which was used to support business management.(SHI) Appropriate for both inpatient and outpatient settings, Physicians, Nurses as well as other health care providers use the CDSS to prepare a diagnosis and review the diagnosis to improve the final result.(SHI)
