3 Course administration Exams: There will be two preliminary exams and one final exam. Specific dates for the final exam will be announced on the course web page later in the semester. The prelims are scheduled on the following days: • Prelim 1: October 11, room OH 165 • Prelim 2: November 8, room OH 165 Homework: Homework will be assigned approximately every 2 weeks, and they will be graded. It is expected that homework will be turned in in class (usually in the Thursday lecture) and on time. Late homework will not be be accepted except in emergency situations. Group work is encouraged, but each student should create (and hand in) an individual solution.
