4(b). Organizational structure
The organizational structure of JJ Holdings Berhad is formed by the divisional structure. It is
a kind of organizational structure in which each organizational function is split into a few
divisions, and each division has a divisional manager who is in charge of the unit's overall
performance (Accounting Tools, 2022). In the company, Mr. Tang Jian Jing, the CEO of JJ
Holdings Berhad was leading the four division managers, which are Sales Manager, Finance
Manager, Publicity Manager, and Human Resource Manager. The advantage of the structure
was to allow a high degree of specialization. For example, employees with similar skills and
abilities may collaborate and concentrate on specific projects that assist the division in
achieving its goals. Since the division functions were independent, management is more
likely to be familiar with the needs of the employees, ensuring they have access to the
resources they need to complete their tasks (Joseph Chris, 2019).

6. Effectiveness of the present system
(i) Accurate calculation
A manual payroll system requires the processing of payroll by hand, which is substantially
slower than the automated trading system. For JJ Holdings Berhad, the company consists of a
lot of employees, if they are still using the manual payroll system to calculate the salary one
by one, the calculation errors may have occurred. Hence, a computerized payroll system to
help the company to perform payroll effectively and avoid calculation errors was necessary.
For example, all the related information such as employee’s attendance, employee’s working
hours, and absence date will be recorded and stated in the system clearly, and the calculations
of an employee’s salary can be finished in just a fraction of the time. This can ensure that the
employee deserved and get the accurate salary that they have earned (Checkmark, n.d.).
