In the aspect of power, Rebecca is the assistant operations manager who has power over her supervisor, Michael. Yet, Michael does not respect Rebecca who fails her promises to him continuously, and even steps on his face in front of his subordinates. Rebecca falls short to give him instructions to fit in his new roles and builds a new relationship with him. On the other side, Michael confidently thinks he is a valuable worker in Waterview who is fully capable to be the supervisor due to his accumulated experience and skills. In addition, he got a better offer from other company. He needs not to stay in Waterview if he cannot earn what he supposes to get. That is why he was not surprise when he got promoted. It made him even angrier when Rebecca lied to him since he could have chosen the other offer. Motivation Since Michael’s identity in the company is changed, he is expecting more respects from the others and empowerment from the boss. Leadership
